This delicious very healthy green smoothie is a fantastic meal on the go, and so easy and quick to make. I use a nutribullet but a powerful blender will do the trick.
- a handful of baby spinach
- 1/2 a frozen banana
- 1 cup of coconut or maple water
- 1/2 a green apple or pear
- a stick of celery
- juice or 1/2 a lime
- 1/2 a Lebanese cucumber
- 1 tsp chia seeds
- 3-4 mint leaves
- a small knob of ginger
- 4-5 ice cubes
Place all the ingredients in the nutribullet or blender and blend until smooth. If you use a blender it would be best to grate the ginger and chop up the banana, if you use a nutribullet this is not necessary. One more little tip, it is best to peel and chop the banana in half before freezing in a snap lock bag.
