You simply must make this delicious spread which I’m currently slathering on every bagel, cracker and piece of bread in sight. Pimento spread is an American classic but this one with the addition of Jalapenos and sriracha turn it into a hit. I know the recipe sounds (and looks) a little strange but just trust me. Recipe is adapted from one by the one and only Barefoot Contessa herself Ina Garten.
Ingredients
- 150 gm cream cheese, softened
- Heaped 1/3 cup mayonnaise
- 1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp celery salt
- 1/4 – 1/2 cup pickled jalapenos, chopped
- 90 gm drained roasted capsicum (jarred), chopped
- 300gm tasty cheese, grated
- 1 tbsp Sriracha
Directions
Combine the cream cheese, mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder and celery salt. Mix in the pickled jalapenos, red capsicum and grated cheese. Add the Sriracha and combine. Taste and add more mayonnaise and Sriracha , if necessary. Chill before serving.
